With the PAT II Pulley Aligner, you will never be in doubt as to whether your belt drives are aligned or not. By using the groove as a reference, you will achieve precise alignment that reduces belt wear, bearing failures and vibration.

Two transmitters with visible red laser line

The PAT comes with two-line laser transmitters, each equipped with two spring-loaded guides that fit into the pulley grooves. The use of two laser transmitters with integrated targets makes it very easy to find out what type of alignment is required.

Parallel displacement, angular error and rotation are instantly visible to the operator. Within minutes, the operator can determine whether the machine requires alignment or not.

Assembly of the Transmitters

PAT II pulley alignment units are easily mounted on the pulleys. The spring-loaded probe finds the centre of the belt groove. Built-in industrial magnets fit the units to the pulley in a perfect fit.

The PAT is equipped with removable guides of various sizes to fit standard AE pulley sizes (6 mm – 40 mm). Additional guides for timing belt alignment are available as accessories.

The process of alignment with the TAP

The visible red laser line makes it easy to determine the position of your belt-driven machines.

The alignment process is as easy as the assembly. Simply switch on the lasers and look at the opposite mounted unit. The laser draws a line on the target label as in the illustration on the left. If necessary, adjust the position of your machine until the laser lines are aligned with the centre mark on both units.
